It’s proof that Blingle! isn’t your typical Christmas lighting business.
Blingle! of Omaha was named a winner in the holiday lighting category as part of the Omaha World-Herald’s 10th annual Reader’s Choice Awards. Blingle! was recognized for its exceptional service, quality fixtures, creative structures, and dedicated staff.
“I like to go to everybody’s property and meet with them, so they know who they’re working with,” Blingle! Account manager Michael Romanek told the World-Herald in an interview. “Then I’ll walk them through some of the things that we can do.”
For HorsePower Brands, the Omaha franchisee’s win validates a franchise model built on strong local execution and brand-wide excellence. HorsePower Brands, which is headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska, acquired Blingle! in October 2023.
Romanek said their location does holiday lighting for the Gene Leahy, a popular area for community events in downtown Omaha. He also said they install a 70-foot artificial tree that has 60,000 lights in it—similar to what you would see at Rockefeller Center in New York.
When the holiday season is over, Blingle! of Omaha reaches out to existing customers for landscape and permanent lighting opportunities through spring and summer months.
“At the end of the day, we pride ourselves in our commitment to our customers, making sure their properties look nice while adding value,” Romanek said.
