HorsePower Brands has received the Patriot Award for being a civilian employer that goes above and being in supporting members of the National Guard and Reserve.
The Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) honored HorsePower Brands for playing a critical role in bridging the gap between military service and civilian employment.
Maj. Clint Boatman of the Iowa Army National Guard nominated HorsePower Brands for providing consistent and meaningful support when he’s away on training. Boatman is the brand president of ZeeBooks at HorsePower Brands.
“(ESGR) educates civilian employers on rights of reservists, along with educating reservists on best practices of what makes a good employee,” Boatman said. “Thousands of nominations are submitted each year, but a select few receive the Patriot Award.”
HorsePower Brands CEO Tony Hulbert said he values Boatman’s dedication to the company and his service as a guardsman.
“Clint has been an extraordinary part of the HorsePower Brands journey over the past three years. His leadership, dedication, and unwavering commitment to our mission have left a lasting impact on our team, our franchisees, and the culture we’ve built together,” Hulbert said. “I am proud to accept the ESGR award alongside Clint—a reflection of the values we stand for and the caliber of leaders we’re fortunate to have on our team.”
HorsePower Brands ensures that responsibilities are covered when employees, who serve in the armed forces, are away on training or other active duty missions. The company also provides paid military leave, offering financial security and peace of mind to those balancing their military and civilian careers. Additionally, HorsePower Brands actively encourages veteran entrepreneurship by offering discounted franchise pricing to those who have served.
The Patriot Award is a reflection of HorsePower Brands’ mission-driven approach and its deep respect for those who serve our nation.
