Jeremy Morgan’s business dreams nearly went up in smoke when his work truck caught fire on the side of a Nebraska highway.

But that moment didn’t defeat him. Over the next 30 years, Morgan helped launch nearly 600 franchise owners in home services. Today, he’s the Group President of Bumble Bee Blinds and Groovy Hues Painting at HorsePower Brands—still guided by the same grit that got him through that roadside fire.

Morgan’s franchise journey didn’t begin with a fancy career and big title. He started with a paintbrush and a single goal: graduate college without debt.

While attending the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, he joined College Pro Painters to earn extra money. What started as a summer job quickly became a hands-on education in business. From managing crews and balancing budgets to building customer relationships, Morgan gained real-world experience that no textbook could match.

After selling his franchise, he transitioned to the franchisor side, mentoring aspiring entrepreneurs who were walking the same path. His practical approach and deep empathy for the realities of ownership earned him a reputation as a leader who doesn’t just talk the talk. That’s because he’s already lived it.

Morgan, who now lives in the Philadelphia area, leads two of HorsePower Brands’ fastest-growing home service companies: Bumble Bee Blinds and Groovy Hues Painting. His leadership is rooted in showing up.

“Live it to lead it,” Morgan said. It’s a philosophy that keeps him grounded and connected to the work on the front lines.

Morgan believes the best franchising relationships are built on trust and shared goals. He empowers owners to drive their own growth while providing the tools and support to help them succeed.

“Franchise owners are in the driver’s seat,” he said. “We’re just here to help them steer.”

At the heart of it all is a mission that goes beyond business metrics. Morgan sees franchising as a way to create lasting opportunity—for owners, their teams, and the communities they serve.

“This work changes lives,” he said. “Not just today, but for generations.”

Morgan’s leadership style is one of humble confidence. He’s just as comfortable speaking at a national franchise conference as he is walking a job site, shaking hands with a crew member. That mix of strategic vision and roll-up-your-sleeves mentality continues to set the tone across both brands.

Under his guidance, Groovy Hues and Bumble Bee Blinds have expanded into dozens of markets nationwide, gaining traction with consumers and attracting franchisees who want more than just a business—they want a legacy.

For Morgan, that’s what it’s all about. “Franchising gave me freedom, purpose, and the chance to help others do the same,” he said. “I never take that for granted.”
